Costs and Payments

What are the expected costs for developing custom software?

There’s no single answer — costs depend on the scope, complexity, chosen technologies, and timeline. To make things easier, we offer guides and tools to estimate your project in advance, and our team is always ready to provide a tailored breakdown. You can request project calculation at our Pricing Model page.

Do you offer flexible pricing models?

Yes. At OneCode, you can choose from three models depending on your project goals:

  • Pay-as-Progress – pay in stages as we deliver completed work.
  • All-in Agreement – a fixed budget for the whole project, with flexibility in scope.
  • Team Extension – dedicated specialists working on your project with a fixed monthly cost.

What does your pricing include?

Our pricing covers the full development cycle: analysis, design, coding, testing, and delivery. Depending on the agreement, it may also include ongoing support, infrastructure setup, and integration with your existing systems.

What are your payment terms?

Payment terms depend on the chosen model. With Pay-as-Progress, invoices are issued at agreed milestones. With All-in Agreement, payments are split across predefined stages. With Team Extension, billing is monthly per dedicated expert.

IP & Legal

Who owns the rights to the software once it’s delivered?

Once the project is completed and fully paid for, all intellectual property rights belong to you. This is clearly outlined in the Agreement we sign before development begins, ensuring full transparency and peace of mind.

Discussing a Potential Project

How do you prepare project estimates and timelines?

We begin with a detailed review of your goals, requirements, and any materials you already have. From there, we break the project into clear tasks and use both experience and past project data to make realistic calculations. The result is a proposal that includes a well-defined scope, budget, and roadmap.

What documentation can I expect in the presale phase?

Depending on the complexity of your project, we may prepare:

  • Vision and Scope overview
  • Requirements specification (SRS)
  • Wireframes and interactive prototypes
  • Work breakdown structure with time estimates
  • Timeline and budget breakdown
  • All of this is collected into a final proposal, giving you a transparent cost estimate, suggested timeline, and an outline of the team we recommend.

How do you handle communication before the project starts?

The process usually begins with a discovery call to capture your vision. Next, we arrange in-depth sessions with our technical specialists to refine details. Finally, we present the proposal in a walkthrough meeting where you see the timeline, costs, and scope explained step by step. Throughout, you’ll have a dedicated Account Manager and regular access to the team via your preferred communication channels.

Who is involved in presale activities?

For every presale, we form a small, focused team to analyze your project. This often includes an Account Manager, Business Analyst, Project Manager, Solution Architect, UX/UI designer, and QA engineer. Their combined expertise ensures we cover both strategic and technical aspects before development starts.

How do you assess and mitigate risks at this stage?

Risk analysis is built into our presale workflow. Our experts evaluate possible technical, business, and scope-related challenges early on. We apply methods like three-point estimation to account for uncertainties and may recommend approaches such as building an MVP first. This way, risks are visible from the start and managed before development kicks off.
